Valentine’s Day is almost around the corner, and if you’re all about this special day and the romantic vibes it brings – welcome to the club, you’re definitely at the right place! A lovely Valentine’s Day heart tree
Decorating your home for Valentine’s Day inevitably includes a lot of hearts, which is exactly why we think that this
lovely heart tree is the perfect choice for you. The first thing you need to do is to collect several branches from your backyard or a local park. Make sure that these aren’t too large and thick, as you’re going for a romantic look that requires more delicate branches. Then lay them out on old newspaper and spray them white (use two coats of spray paint if necessary). Wait for at least an hour until they’re completely dry and then place the branches into a white vase or a pitcher. The next step is making the 3D hearts – between 40 and 50 of them, depending on the number and density of branches. Also, don’t forget to make a little hook at the end of each string by knotting it with a small loop. These hooks will allow you to hang the hearts evenly on the branches and complete your gorgeous Valentine’s Day decoration with success!

In fact, they are made from felt, buttons, and different types of ribbon, all of which will add a romantic vibe to your home. So, if you want to make a super cute heart garland for this year’s Valentine’s Day celebration, be sure to get buy some felt in different colours (red, white, and a few shades of pink will do the trick). Then cut the hearts out of the felt and use some hot glue to secure the ribbon in place on the inside of the back heart. Take a couple of cute buttons, sew them on the front of the top heart, and then place the two layers of a felt heart against one another. Sew the stitches around the edge of your felt heart and then fill it with polyfill before you finish stitching it up. Repeat the same process with the rest of your hearts, depending on the length of your garland, and voila, your DIY V-Day decoration is all done!
A gorgeous heart table runner
Continuing with hearts, one of the most widespread symbols of love, there is an adorable yet easy-to-craft table runner that will undoubtedly steal the show this year. It will flawlessly match any interior and take it to a whole new level, so give it a try and you’ll see what we were talking about. Firstly, you’ll have to buy between 10 and 20 felt sheets, depending on the size of a table runner you’re going for. Sharp scissors are also a huge must, as well as clear-drying, water-resistant fabric glue. Then start cutting out hearts using templates of different sizes, so that your table runner features more dimension and versatility. Once that’s done, take all the hearts and start arranging them, making sure that they overlap (which is where you’ll glue them together). Don’t be afraid to be generous with the glue as it’ll secure the hearts in place and stop them from moving around. When your table runner is all done, the only thing left is to
order stunning roses online, which will be an unavoidable centrepiece at your table, and to cook (or order) a romantic dinner for two. Trust us when we say that your Valentine’s Day celebration won’t get better than that!
Fabulous Mason jar candle holders
Last but certainly not least, there are fabulous DIY Mason jar candle holders that can do wonders for your V-Day decoration, so give them a fair shot and you certainly won’t regret it. Apart from using them as lovely decorative items, you can give them away as Valentine’s Day presents, too, which is exactly what makes them beyond perfect for this special day. Of course, the first thing you’ll need is a couple of Mason jars, depending on the number of candle holders you want to craft. Besides these, you’ll also need several heart stickers, acrylic paint and glitter in the same colours (white and pink will be more than fine), and some Mod Podge. Firstly, you should take heart stickers and affix them to the Mason jar. This is a part of the jar that will remain intact. Then apply a thick coat of white acrylic paint and remove the sticker when the paint is all dry. Take a paintbrush and apply one coat of Mod Podge over the layer of acrylic paint, and then generously apply white glitter so that it sticks onto Mod Podge. Repeat the same process with pink paint and glitter, and once your Mason jar candle holders are all done and dry, just add a tea candle into each holder and cute ribbon around their top. Your project is complete with this step!
