The foreign tourists must apply for a
Tibet travel permit before entering to Lhasa and traveling around Tibet, according to the law of People's Republic of China. Additional permits are required if you’re planning to visit the unopened areas, like Mt. Everest, Mt.Kailash, etc, which need to be approved by several government departments.
