High Risk Work Licenses

It is a license that is valid in all territories and states and means you can work in high risk plants, operate equipment that is high risk and work to consistent standards anywhere in Australia in the construction industry.

  • Operating hoists and cranes – There may also be state regulations to meet for this kind of work so they need to be met before you can work.

  • Operating pressure equipment – Licenses are given to be able to operate standard boilers, advanced boilers, turbines, and reciprocating steam engines.

  • Dogging construction trades jobs Involves choosing and inspecting lifting gear so that a load can safely be hung, directing the movement of a crane, and slinging techniques.


When choosing an RTO, or Registered Training Organization make sure you choose one with a good reputation and that it covers all the necessary areas for you to be able to be successfully trained and licensed.
