Imagine for a moment that the Dungeon Master has spent the afternoons of the last week preparing an adventure for his group of players for next Saturday. He has the hook ready, the story, the supporting characters ... he may even have a wonderful map to fight or illustrate his narrative. And the players, knowingly, decide to ignore all this work and shoot the other way , leave the town without heeding the signals, ignoring them on purpose.

The Dungeon Master has to have the pulse of the players, that is totally true. One of his most delicate tasks is to learn to give the players what they need at all times, and that it remains in a natural way, not forced. Not only that, but you have to respect what happens at the table, adapt the game and the story and build them around the decisions that are made during the course of the game. We have already said several times that this role is a collaboration between the Game Director and the players, it is both parties who are creating the story in real time, acting and reacting and assuming the consequences of their actions.
