The best until you're able to get your hands on broads

Can anyone suggest the best route to improving my battle skills - rather quickly please? Any information on armour, weapons and plan etc. would be appreciated. The advice guides only give general information but nothing tailored to my needs & Stats. In addition, I keep getting conflicting advice from online players, causing me to great confusion. Not helped by the fact that I'm 57 years old and you'youngsters' speak a different language. As above. Barrows gloves are an unbelievable assistance, and provide far better melee AND ranged bonuses than the vambraces. Snakeskin boots for that range are also a good investment! Dragon boots actually carry a negative range bonus, and since you're not going to be hit at all, there is no point. Also get 52 summoning, terrorbirds are really helpful for those 12 extra stock slots:rolleyes:

Guthan's is fantastic, but in regards to maximizing slayer expertise speed, I would opt for a whip. Spend your remaining income on food (tuna if you are ranging, monkfish if melee), super collections and adequate bolts- mithril are probably the best until you're able to get your hands on broads.

Consider kitting out your POH with a prayer altar/mounted glory, Kharyll/Falador teleports, along with a menagerie. This way, whilst teleporting to your house to see Sumona, it's possible to fully restore prayer, summoning, and also have access to a selection of teleports in case you re-enter your residence.

For a word of advice for your levels, I'd cancel metal dragon tasks, and use your slayer points to get the ability to fletch wide bolts and create black masks. Lastly, complete your first four jobs at a easier slayer master (eg. Canifis), as you're not likely to be earning any points before the fifth task. Good luck!
