Hi, I am Kristol Lee, working as a telemarketer in Australia. I have a significant family history of breast cancer on my mother’s side my grandmother and great grandmother had it. I have been proactive with breast self-examinations and discovered a hard lump on my right breast. During my annual physical checkup visit, my family doctor had recommended a mammogram. I was told that there were new micro calcifications that wasn’t observed in my last screening. The cost of treatment for my medical condition in my native country was too expensive for me. While searching for an economical treatment, I came across this Indian website offering medical tourism. I went through some of the patient testimonials where the patients who had undergone this surgery shared about their medical journey.

I contacted them and also talked with the doctor who guided me for making this oncological decision and also suggested me that an immediate reconstruction would be most appropriate for me. Convinced with the doctor’s opinion, I decided to visit India for getting the mastectomy done.

After my arrival in India, an official came to receive us at the airport and we were escorted to a three star hotel in the city. My sister accompanied me throughout my medical journey. At the hospital, the doctors sent me for the diagnostic mammograms of the right breast and they also sent me for an ultrasound. I was then referred to a surgeon who performed a biopsy that came back positive for the invasive ductal carcinoma in which the estrogen and progesterone was positive but HER2 was negative. I was then sent for an MRI. After going through both the ultrasound and MRI, another area was found and so a biopsy was performed and that too was positive for invasive ductal carcinoma. Since both the cancerous areas were in different quadrants, my doctor suggested undergoing both the mastectomy and breasting reconstruction surgery at the same time with a back muscle flap.

I underwent the surgery earlier this year. My surgery went well and the entire experience here was great. The services provided here were excellent. The doctors, nurses and everyone here were kind and made me feel comfortable throughout my entire medical journey in India. The hospital facilities were first class, the rooms were clean and tidy. I am grateful to the entire medical team in India for their excellent medical support and care. I would definitely recommend this Indian healthcare consultant - Cosmetic and Obesity Surgery Hospital India to anyone looking for an affordable mastectomy and breast reconstruction surgery.

Thanking You,
Ms. Kristol Lee,
Australia
