Different Styles of Fencing for Different Projects

Security fencing can be used for all sorts of fencing projects besides encircling prisons or other secured locations.  What is more, there are several styles of fencing available for you to choose from, and many of these styles are available in different finishes as well.  Here are some details about different security fencing Perth and their more common uses:

Garrison fencing:  Garrison fencing is made of a series of upright metal poles that are linked with strips of metal than run horizontally along the back of the poles.  These horizontal pieces are generally placed toward the top and the bottom of the vertical poles.  This style of security fencing Western Australia is often found around secured apartment complexes, amusements parks and other such entertainment areas as well as cemeteries.  Of course, these are not the only uses for garrison fencing.

Palisade Fencing:  This type of security fencing is almost identical in construction to garrison fencing and is often used for the same purposes.  However, palisade fencing tends to be much more decorative because palisade fencing poles are topped with hooks or caps or spear tips to add a little flare to the design.  In addition to the fancier tips, palisade fencing is often installed in sections that are divided by columns of one kind or another.

Chainmesh fencing or link mesh fencing (otherwise known as chain link fencing):  This is probably the most commonly used style of security fencing Perth and, because it is so commonly used, a description is probably not necessary here.  Link mesh fencing is what you see around the majority of private homes that are fenced.  It is also what you see encircling playgrounds and schools.  Of course, it can easily be topped with coils of barbed wire for added security.

Lastly, weldmesh fencing:  Weldmesh fencing is really quite similar to chainmesh fencing except that weldmesh fencing consists of small rectangular shaped openings in the mesh whereas chainmesh openings are larger and diamond-shaped.  In addition to that difference, weldmesh fencing usually consists of vertical support bars interspersed more frequently than what you see in chainmesh fencing.  This sort of security fencing Western Australia is used where chainmesh fencing is just not quite sturdy enough or secure enough to do the job.

This is a brief overview of the different styles of security fencing that are available for your fencing projects.  However, this is by no means a definitive guide.  Any of these security fencing Perth styles can be used however you choose to use them.  The only limit is your imagination!  For example, most folks settle with chainmesh fencing for their homes but, that does not mean that palisade fencing is not an option instead – in fact, palisade fencing can add a touch of elegance to any home!  And, even though many prisons use barbed wire and link mesh fencing, that does not mean that garrison fencing would be any less effective at keeping the prison secure and the prisoners inside.
