That’s right! We have a global cyber attack that has been creating rave reviews recently. If you are dealing with slow internet connectivity or slow video buffering/streaming and still are clueless about it then, it’s already making the news. Originally, the cyber attack as per web experts was directed towards a single internet entity but now is hailed as one of the biggest Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) global assaults in the web history. The attack started off as a minor impact to the physical infrastructure of the internet but now has been dragging the internet speed gradually. The root cause of this global attack is believed to be even more interesting by the web experts, which finds its origin in the European anti-spam firm known as ‘Spamhaus’. Spamhaus has the sole responsibility of blacklisting spam emails and offering the same to the Internet Service Providers (ISPs). Now, the DDoS attack started the moment when Spamhaus blacklisted the notorious web hosting company ‘Cyberbunker’. However, the controversial firm Cyberbunker is yet to take responsibility for the web assaults. Even though the attack has awakened massive actions among the web firms and IT industry as a whole but internet users have been the primary losers, thanks to the slow internet connectivity. Some of the primary affected areas include video streaming websites such as Netflix.
